Colossus Order (CO)
- Beginner Guide

A: Types of Cards

1. Locus Cost
- The locus cost needed to play this card. If you have same or more locus to set and you have the amount of gem level needed, you can play the card. The locus that's faced up can also be used to set.

2. Gem Level
- The Gem level needed to play this card. If you have the same or more Gem with the required colour(s) and you have enough Locus points to set, you can play this card.

3. Card Name
- The name of the card. You can only play up to 3 cards of the same name in a deck (Other than Gem cards).

4. Card Type/Race/Attribute
- The type of card is written here.
- If this is a follower card the race and attribute will be written.

5. Card Text
- The ability and the activation requirement is written here.
- There are a total of 3 types of ability, auto, activation and continuous, the activation timing will varies according to the type.

6. Crush Point
- When you targets an opponent's deck as an attacking target and the attack hits, this is the amount of card your opponent have to reveal from the deck.

7. Capture Point
- When an attack on your opponent's deck is successful and there are Gem cards among the cards revealed, you may place the same amount of gems as the capture point written into your Colossus capture area.
- Send the rest into discard pile.

8. Attack/Defence
- The basic attack and defence point of the card.
- If your Attack is higher than your opponent's Defence, move the opponent's card into the discard pile.

9. Card number/Rarity
- The card number and rarity is written here:
C=Common
U=Uncommon
R=Rare
SR=Super Rare

C: How To Win?
There's 2 condition where a player can win this game:
1) Deckout
- Player loses the game if there's no more cards in his/her deck.

2) Gem Complete
- Player can win the game if he/she reveal 6 gems(faced down) in the Locus during the Start phase.

D: Game Flow

(i) Game Preparation
- Players will need a 50 card deck (Colossus card not included) with a maximum of 20 Gem card and 3 or less for cards with the same name (Gem card not included)
- Players will also need to prepare a Locus counter (The crystal shown in the picture below) which players
can use any other item such as coin to substitute.


(ii) Start of Game
1. Shuffle your deck and place it onto the deck zone faced down.
2. Each players draw 7 cards from the deck.
3. Players will play a game of scissors, paper, stone to decide the player sequence.
4. At the start of the game both players may change the cards in their hand.
- First player is allowed to place up to 2 cards from his/her hand back to the bottom of the deck in any sequence and draw the same amount. 
- While the second player is allowed to return up to 4 cards from his/her hand back to the bottom of the deck in any sequence and draw the same amount.

(iii) Start Phase
1. Complete Declaration
- During the game player may do the [Complete Declaration] if he/she is confident that there're 6 Gem cards
faced down in the locust area.
- Player will open 6 locus cards to reveal the 6 gem cards that were faced down. 
- In the case where the cards revealed do not have 6 Gem cards, the player will have to discard 2 of the cards revealed into the discard pile, place the rest of the cards back in face down position before continuing
the game.

2. Recovery Step
- Turn player will switch all his/her followers in [Off] position(Tapped) into [On] position(standing). 
- Remove the locus counter and recover the Locus point.

3. Draw Step
- Turn player will draw 1 card from the top of his/her deck.
- First player is not allowed to draw on his/her first turn. 

4. Main Phase
- Players are allowed to do the following actions in any sequence during the main phase:

(i) Set a Gem card onto the Colossus
- Player may set 1 Gem card from the hand onto the Gem set area.
- Players may only do this once per turn.

(ii) Set a card as Locus
- Player may place 1 card from his/her hand onto Locus faced down.
Note: Players may place any card in the Locus area such as Gem card to do a [Complete declaration] or action card with special abilities or even a normal Followers.
- Players may only do this once per turn.

(iii) Playing of Follower
- By paying the required cost,  player may play the Follower from his/hand onto the field but do take note that each player is only allowed to have 1 Follower Unique card with the same name on his/her field.
- Followers and Follower Unique cannot declare attack or switch to [OFF] to activate any abilities on the turn they are played.
- Player may pay the cost by placing the locus counter on the Locus point according to the Locus cost needed from the left.

(iv) Playing of Action card(s)
-  By paying the required cost player may play the action card from his/her hand. Player may play any amount of action cards in a turn as long as he/she is able to pay the cost.
- The action cards that were played will be place into the discard pile after the abilities have been resolved.

(v) Attacking with a Follower
- Player may choose his/her Follower and Follower unique to declare an attack.
- Turn player will declare the attacking target (Deck, Locus and Follower in [Off] position).
- Each followers are only allowed to attack once per turn.
- The opponent may defend an attack using a Follower in [On] position by declaring a defend and switching it to [OFF] position.
- When an attack have been declared an exchange can be played. The turn player may declare an exchange play and use a follower's ability or an action card. The opponent will have the rights to play a follower's ability or Action card after that.
- The turn player may choose to continue and the cycle will follow.
- When the last exchange have been declared, both players will start resolving the exchanges from the last played action.
- Damages dealt to a Follower's defence will last till the end of the turn.
- Followers with 0 Def will leave the field and goes to discard pile.
- If an attack was successfully dealt to the deck, reveal the same amount of cards from the top of the deck as the attacking follower's Crush point, if there're any Gem card in the revealed cards, set the same amount as the follower's capture point  to the attacking player's captured gems. Send the rest of the cards into discard pile.
- If an attack was successfully dealt to the Locus, flip the target Locus face up, if it's a Gem card set to your captured gems, your opponent will draw 1 and send 1 card from his/her hand into Locus in face down. If it's not a Gem card, place the card as it is in the Locus (The face up card's are still treated as a Locus.)

(vi) Activation of the Colossus ability
- Player may activate each of the ability of the Colossus once per turn as long as the Gem's colour and number needed is set onto Gem set.
- Only during your turn.

Game Rule (FAQs)

Q: Is it a must to activate the abilities of [CIP]?
A: Yes, it's a must.

Q: What can be played during X-Play?
A: Action.Snap and follower's ability can be played.

Q: What can I play during an opponent's turn?
A: During a X-play on your opponent's turn, you can play Action.Snap and follower's ability.

Q: What are the timings where I can play during an opponent's turn?
A: When your opponent plays a card or an follower's ability, attack declaration and end of main phase.

Q: If my opponent do not declare defence, can X-play still happen?
A: Yes, X-play will still happen and you can play at that timing.

Q: After an attack can I attack again after doing other things such as setting of gem or playing a follower?
A: Yes you can, even though each follower can only attack once per turn but you are allowed to play the steps in any sequence during your main phase.

Q: Can I play anything during my opponent's start or end phase?
A: No you can't, players are only to play during the main phase.

Q: What can I play during my start phase?
A: You can't, player can only declare gem complete, recover and draw during your start phase.

Q: What can I play during my End phase?
A: You can't, player cannot play anything during your End phase.

Q: Can I mix multiple colour into 1 deck?
A: Yes you may.

RE: Attack and battles

Q: Can I activate a follower's ability after attacking?
A: Follower with [OFF] as a requirement can not activate it by using the [OFF] from an attack as a cost, players may activate any other types of ability after an attack.

Q: If I were to [ON] a follower after an attack using an ability, can I attack once again?
A: No, you can only attack once with the same follower per turn.

Q: If I were to declare a defend against an attacking follower, is that action counted as defended?
A: Yes, even if the defending follower were to be removed from the field due to X-play, the attack will be count as defended.

Q: Does the damages done to a follower gets collated?
A: Yes and it will be removed at the end of turn.

Q: Can I activate a Colossus' ability during battle?
A: No, as a Colossus' ability timing is the same as an action card, it cannot be played during a X-play.

Q: When a gem is captured from the Locus do I place the new Locust at the end?
A: No, When a Locus is removed to the captured gems, the new locust MUST be placed back to where it was and a new Locust card MUST be placed.

Q: Can I attack a Locust in face up?
A: Yes, you can still attack a Locust even if it's faced up.

Q: Do I open 2 Locust if I were to attack them with a follower with Crush 2?
A: No, the crush points and capture points are only use for reference when the follower attacks a deck.

Q: If I were to [ON] a follower when it was selected as a target to be attacked, will the attack still count?
A: Yes as it was already declared but if the follower survived on the field, it will stay as [ON].

RE: Victory Declaration

Q: Can I declare a win after placing 6 gems into my locus?
A: No, you can only declare a gem complete during your start phase.

Q: Do I lose when my deck becomes 0 or do I lose when I cannot draw any cards any more?
A: You lose when your deck becomes 0.

Q: If I've only 1 card left in my deck and an ability requires me to reveal 1 card from the top of my deck, do I lose?
A: No, cards revealed are still considered part of the deck.

Q: Can I use the face up gems to declare a set complete?
A: No you MUST use the faced down cards in order to declare a set complete.
